6. In regulation 2(1) of the Social Security (Claims and Payments) Regulations 1987(1) (interpretation), for the definition of “couple” substitute—
““couple” means—
(a)
two people who are married to, or civil partners of, each other and are members of the same household; or
(b)
two people who are not married to, or civil partners of, each other but are living together as a married couple;”.

S.I. 1987/1968; the definition of “couple” was inserted by S.I. 2005/2877 and substituted by S.I. 2014/107. Regulation 2 has been revoked for certain purposes by S.I. 2003/492. There are other amending instruments but none is relevant.
