Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 57(1) to (3) and 61B(1)(d) of the Vehicle Excise and Registration Act 19941.
In determining the amount of the fees specified in these Regulations, the Secretary of State has taken into account the costs of the functions listed in paragraph 42 of Schedule 1 to the Department for Transport (Fees) Order 20092 and has taken into account the matters listed in Schedule 2 to that Order in determining the costs of those functions.
Citation and commencement1
These Regulations may be cited as the Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) (Amendment) Regulations 2014 and come into force on 1st October 2014.
Amendment of Regulations2
The Road Vehicles (Registration and Licensing) Regulations 20023 are amended as follows.
Amendments to Schedule 2 (Reduced pollution certificates and the reduced pollution requirements)3
In paragraph 13 (prescribed fees) of Schedule 2—

In the case of an examination carried out in Northern Ireland the fee payable under sub-paragraph (1)(a) shall be reduced by £8, and the fee payable under sub-paragraph (1)(b) shall be reduced by £5.
