This Order authorises construction of new lengths of slip roads, to connect the north bound and south bound M1 Motorway with a roundabout constructed as part of the A5 Trunk Road at Chalton in the county of Bedfordshire.

The routes of the slip roads are as follows: 1 Junction with A5-M1 Link Dunstable Northern Bypass at Chalton i Two routes to connect the north bound M1 Motorway with a roundabout which the Secretary of State proposes to construct as part of the A5 Trunk Road (A5-M1 Link Dunstable Northern Bypass) at Chalton in the county of Bedfordshire (the special roads along these routes being respectively given the numbers 1 and 2 on the plan); ii Two routes to connect the south bound M1 Motorway with a roundabout which the Secretary of State proposes to construct as part of the A5 Trunk Road (A5-M1 Link Dunstable Northern Bypass) at Chalton in the county of Bedfordshire (the special roads along these routes being respectively given the numbers 3 and 4 on the plan);
