22.—(1) The Road Traffic Act 1988 is modified as follows.
(2) In section 67(4)(f)(1) (testing of condition of vehicles on roads), omit “for a police area”.
(3) In section 144(2) (exceptions from requirement of third-party insurance or security)(2), in paragraph (a)(ii) after the second “Scotland” insert “or the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service”.
1988 c.52. Section 67(4)(f) has been amended by the Police Reform and Social Responsibility Act 2011 (c.13), Schedule 16, paragraph 194.
Section 144(2)(a)(ii) has been amended by the Local Government etc. (Scotland) Act 1994 (c.39) Schedule 13, paragraph 159(8). There are other amendments to section 144(2) not relevant to this Order.
