6.—(1) Subject to [F1paragraphs (1A) and (3)], notice of enforcement must be given to the debtor not less than [F214 clear days] before the enforcement agent takes control of the debtor's goods.
[F3(1A) Where, before the expiration of the period of notice indicated in the notice of enforcement, a request is submitted by a debt advice provider on behalf of the debtor, the minimum period of notice referred to in paragraph (1) must be extended to a minimum of 28 clear days before the enforcement agent takes control of the goods.
(1B) The extension under paragraph (1A) does not apply where the debt is non‑eligible business debt.]
(2) Where the period referred to in [F4paragraph (1) or (1A)] includes a Sunday, bank holiday, Good Friday or Christmas Day that day does not count in calculating the period.
(3) The court may order that a specified shorter period of notice [F5than those set out in paragraphs (1) and (1A)] may be given to the debtor.
(4) The court may only make an order under paragraph (3) where it is satisfied that, if the order is not made, it is likely that goods of the debtor will be moved to premises other than relevant premises, or otherwise disposed of, in order to avoid the goods being taken control of by the enforcement agent.
