Modification of section 8 of the Act (power of justice of the peace to authorise entry and search of premises)

19.  Section 8 of the Act, as applied by article 12, has effect as if for subsection (7) there were substituted—

“(7) Section 4 of the Summary Jurisdiction (Process) Act 1881 (execution of process of English Courts in Scotland) shall apply to a warrant issued on the application of a designated customs official under this section by virtue of section 23 of the Borders, Citizenship and Immigration Act 2009(1).”.
