This Order may be cited as the Imperial College Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) and the Hammersmith Hospitals National Health Service Trust and the St Mary’s National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) (Amendment) Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st April 2012.

“Functions of the trust3.
The trust’s functions shall be to provide goods and services for the purposes of the health service.”.

This Order amends the Imperial College Healthcare National Health Service Trust (Establishment) and the Hammersmith Hospitals National Health Service Trust and the St Mary’s National Health Service Trust (Dissolution) Order 2007 (the Establishment Order) which established the Imperial College Healthcare National Health Service Trust. Article 2 amends article 3 of the Establishment Order which set out the trust’s functions, in particular so that the restriction on only providing hospital accommodation and services and community health services is removed and the trust is now established to provide goods and services for the purposes of the health service.
