See section 122(8) of <abbr title="Education Act 2002 c. 32">the Act</abbr> for the definition of “prescribed”.</p></authorialNote> (“<abbr title="Education Act 2002 c. 32">the Act</abbr>”).</p><formula name="enactingText"><p>In accordance with section 126 of <abbr title="Education Act 2002 c. 32">the Act</abbr><authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00002" marker="2"><p>Section 126 of the Education Act 2002 was amended by <ref eId="c00002" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2010/1158">S.I. 2010/1158</ref>.</p></authorialNote> the Secretary of State has consulted such of the persons and bodies referred to in that section as appeared to him to be appropriate.</p></formula></preamble><body><hcontainer name="crossheading" ukl:Name="P1group"><heading>Citation and commencement</heading><article eId="article-1"><num>1.</num><content><p>This Order may be cited as the Education (School Teachers’ Prescribed Qualifications, <abbr title="Et cetera" xml:lang="la">etc</abbr>) (Amendment) Order 2012 and comes into force on 1st April 2012.</p></content></article></hcontainer><hcontainer name="crossheading" ukl:Name="P1group"><heading>Amendments to the Education (School Teachers’ Prescribed Qualifications, <abbr title="Et cetera" xml:lang="la">etc</abbr>) Order 2003</heading><article eId="article-2"><num>2.</num><content><p>The Education (School Teachers’ Prescribed Qualifications, <abbr title="Et cetera" xml:lang="la">etc</abbr>) Order 2003<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00003" marker="3"><p><ref eId="c00003" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/2003/1709">S.I. 2003/1709</ref>; references to the Training and Development Agency for Schools were substituted for references to the Teacher Training Agency by virtue of paragraph 2 of Schedule 15 to the Education Act <ref eId="c00004" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/2005/18">2005 (c.18)</ref>.
