Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers in section 2(5)(b) and (6) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 19931, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order, and it is ordered, as follows:

Citation and commencement1.

This Order may be cited as the Health Service Commissioner for England (Special Health Authorities) Order 2012 and comes into force on 17th January 2013.

Designation as bodies subject to investigation2.

The Special Health Authorities2 listed in the Schedule are designated as Special Health Authorities to which section 2(1) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993 (bodies subject to investigation by the Health Service Commissioner for England) applies.
