Citation and commencement1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products and Energy Information (Amendment) Regulations 2012.

Subject to paragraph (3), these Regulations come into force on 1st January 2013.

Regulation 3(3) comes into force on 29th September 2013.

These Regulations make amendments to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010 (S.I. 2010/2617) and the Energy Information Regulations 2011 (S.I. 2011/1524) and partially implement four EU Commission Regulations as follows—
regulation 2 inserts additional products (water pumps, air conditioners and comfort fans) into the table in Schedule 1 (declaration of conformity) to the Ecodesign for Energy-Related Products Regulations 2010;
regulation 3(2) substitutes the reference to air conditioners in Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011; and
regulation 3(3) substitutes, from 29th September 2013 the reference to household tumble driers in Schedule 1 (EU measures) to the Energy Information Regulations 2011.
A full impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as no impact on the private, voluntary or public sectors is foreseen.
