Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the United Nations Personnel (Isle of Man) Order 2012 and comes into force on the day after the day on which it is made.
Interpretation2.
In this Order “the Act” means the Geneva Conventions and United Nations Personnel (Protocols) Act 2009.
Extension of the Act to the Isle of Man3.
Section 2 of the Act shall extend to the Isle of Man.
This Order extends to the Isle of Man section 2 of the Geneva Conventions and United Nations Personnel (Protocols) Act 2009. Section 2 amends section 4 of the United Nations Personnel Act 1997, which already extends to the Isle of Man by virtue of the United Nations Personnel (Isle of Man) Order 1997 (S.I. 1998/1509) and will accordingly now extend to the Isle of Man with the amendments made by section 2.
