This Order confers powers on NNB Generation Company Limited (“the Company”) for the compulsory acquisition of land and rights in or over land adjacent to Bridgwater Bay in the district of West Somerset. The land is required for the purpose of the construction of a harbour comprising a jetty and harbour related works which are authorised to be constructed under powers conferred on the Company by the Hinkley Point (Temporary Jetty) Harbour Empowerment Order 2012 made under section 16 of the Harbours Act 1964. The harbour will facilitate the construction of a nuclear power station at Hinkley Point subject to the appropriate consents being granted. The Order does not authorise the construction of works or any other development.
