These Regulations replace the National Health Service (Pharmaceutical Services) Regulations 2005 (“the 2005 Regulations”) as the Regulations which govern the arrangements, in England, for the provision of pharmaceutical services under Chapter 1 of Part 7 of the National Health Service Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”).

For the purposes of these Regulations, “essential services” means—

the services described in this Part; and

b

the activities described in this Part to be carried out in connection with those services.
