This Order may be cited as the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (Commencement No.2 and Transitional, Savings and Transitory Provisions) Order 2012.

In this Order—

  • “the Act” means the Health and Social Care Act 2012;

  • “the 2006 Act” means the National Health Service Act 20062;

  • “the Board” means the National Health Service Commissioning Board established under section 1H of the 2006 Act3;

  • “the Board Authority” means the Special Health Authority established under the NHS Commissioning Board Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Order 20114;

  • “financial year” means the period which begins on 1st April and ends on the following 31st March;

  • “initial period” has the meaning given in paragraph 1(2) of Schedule 6 to the Act.
