Citation and interpretation1.

This Order may be cited as the Health and Social Care Act 2012 (Commencement No.2 and Transitional, Savings and Transitory Provisions) Order 2012.

In this Order—
“the Act” means the Health and Social Care Act 2012;
“the 2006 Act” means the National Health Service Act 20062;
“the Board” means the National Health Service Commissioning Board established under section 1H of the 2006 Act3;
“the Board Authority” means the Special Health Authority established under the NHS Commissioning Board Authority (Establishment and Constitution) Order 20114;
“financial year” means the period which begins on 1st April and ends on the following 31st March;
“initial period” has the meaning given in paragraph 1(2) of Schedule 6 to the Act.
