Citation, commencement and interpretation1.

These Regulations may be cited as the Dissolution of Further Education Corporations and Sixth Form College Corporations (Prescribed Bodies) Regulations 2012 and come into force on 21st May 2012.

In these Regulations a reference to a section or a Part is a reference to a section or Part of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992.
Prescribed bodies2.
SCHEDULE
1.
A further education corporation.
2.
A sixth form college corporation.
3.
The governing body of a designated institution (for the purposes of Part I).

A local authority.

A university receiving financial support under section 65.
8.
A higher education corporation.
9.
The governing body of a designated institution (for the purposes of Part II).

A body corporate established for purposes which include the provision of educational facilities or services of any description.

These Regulations prescribe the bodies to which a further education corporation, or a sixth form college corporation, may transfer its property, rights and liabilities, upon its dissolution.
An impact assessment has not been produced for this instrument as it has no impact on businesses or civil society organisations. The instrument has a minimal impact on the public sector.
