Citation and commencement1.
These Regulations may be cited as the Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) (Amendment) Regulations 2011 and shall come into force on 6th April 2011.

These Regulations are made under the Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Act 1969. They amend the Employers’ Liability (Compulsory Insurance) Regulations 1998 by inserting new paragraphs into Schedule 2 to those Regulations. The effect of the insertions is to exempt the Auditor General for Wales, the Electoral Commission, the Parliamentary Commissioner for Administration, the Health Service Commissioner for England, the National Assembly for Wales Commissioner for Standards, the Public Services Ombudsman for Wales, the Comptroller and Auditor General and the Independent Parliamentary Standards Authority from the requirements to hold employers’ liability insurance.
