Licensed deep sea mining30.
Article 4 applies to an activity carried on in pursuance of—
(a)
an exploration licence or an exploitation licence within the meaning of section 2 of the Deep Sea Mining (Temporary Provisions) Act 198123, or
(b)
a reciprocal authorisation within the meaning given by section 3(3) of that Act.
