The Apprenticeships (Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England) Order 2011

Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Business, Innovation and Skills makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 24(1) of the Apprenticeships, Skills, Children and Learning Act 20091.
In accordance with section 24(2) of that Act, the Secretary of State is satisfied that the specification of apprenticeship standards given effect by this order complies with section 27.
Following a direction by the Secretary of State under section 23(1) of that Act, the Chief Executive of Skills Funding has prepared and submitted to the Secretary of State a draft specification of apprenticeship standards, which has been modified by the Secretary of State under section 24(1)(b).
This is the first draft specification of apprenticeship standards to be prepared after the commencement of section 23, and in accordance with section 23(4), the Chief Executive of Skills Funding was not required to consult with the persons specified in section 23(2).
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Apprenticeships (Specification of Apprenticeship Standards for England) Order 2011 and comes into force on 1st March 2011.
