The Olympic Route Network Designation (Amendment) Order 2011

The Olympic Delivery Authority, with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 11(2) of the London Olympic Games and Paralympic Games Act 2006(1).

In accordance with section 11(4)(a) of that Act, the Olympic Delivery Authority has consulted the relevant authorities referred to in that section.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Olympic Route Network Designation (Amendment) Order 2011 and comes into force on 8th August 2011.

Amendment of Order

2.—(1) The Olympic Route Network Designation Order 2009(2) is amended as follows.

(2) In the Schedule (roads designated as roads in the Olympic Route Network)—

(a)Part 1 is amended in accordance with Schedule 1 to this Order; and

(b)Part 2 is amended in accordance with Schedule 2 to this Order.

This Order, which is made by the Olympic Delivery Authority (“the ODA”) with the consent of the Secretary of State for Transport, amends the Olympic Route Network Designation Order 2009 (“the 2009 Order”). The amendments make additions and changes (including the removal of certain roads) to the list of roads set out in the 2009 Order which constitute the Olympic Route Network.
