The Bribery Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2011

The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 19(1) of the Bribery Act 20101. Before doing so, in accordance with section 19(4) of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted the Scottish Ministers2.

Citation1.

This Order may be cited as the Bribery Act 2010 (Commencement) Order 2011.

Commencement2.

The Bribery Act 2010 comes into force on 1st July 2011 to the extent that it is not already in force.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 1st July 2011 those provisions of the Bribery Act 2010 (c. 23) which were not brought into force on Royal Assent by section 19(2) of that Act.
