The Overseas Territories (Change of Name) (No. 5) Order 2011

Citation and commencement1.
This Order may be cited as the Overseas Territories (Change of Name) (No. 5) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 8th July 2011.
Amendment of an instrument2.
(a)
deleting the words “and Dependencies” after the words “Falkland Islands”;
(b)
inserting in the list of territories, in the appropriate alphabetical position, “South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands”;
(c)
replacing the words “St Helena and Dependencies” with the words “St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha”.
This Order amends the Extradition (Internationally Protected Persons) Order 1997 and the Extradition (Taking of Hostages) Order 1997 to reflect the current names of the British overseas territories of St Helena, Ascension and Tristan da Cunha and South Georgia and the South Sandwich Islands.
