The Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment No.5) Order 2011

Coming into force
The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 8B(5) of the Immigration Act 19711:

1.

This Order may be cited as the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) (Amendment No.5) Order 2011 and shall come into force on 26th May 2011.

In Part 2 of the Schedule to the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 20002 insert after “Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011 (Syria)”, “as implemented by Council Implementing Decision 2011/302/CFSP of 23rd May 2011 (Syria)”3.

EXPLANATORY NOTE
(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Immigration (Designation of Travel Bans) Order 2000 (“the 2000 Order”) by adding to Part 2 of the Schedule to the 2000 Order European Union Council Implementing Decision 2011/302/CFSP of 23rd May 2011, made in response to the situation in Syria, which adds 10 further names to the list of individuals banned from travel by Council Decision 2011/273/CFSP of 9th May 2011.
