The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes these Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 9, 12 and 24 of, and Schedule 3 to, the Superannuation Act 1972(1).
The Secretary of State has consulted the persons referred to in section 9(5) of that Act.
In accordance with sections 9(1) and 24(1) of that Act, these Regulations are made with the consent of the Treasury(2).

Amendments to section 24 are not relevant to these regulations
