The Initial Sixth Form College Corporation Designation (England) Order 2010

The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 33A(1) of the Further and Higher Education Act 1992 (“the Act”) (1):

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Initial Sixth Form College Corporation Designation (England) Order 2010 and comes into force on 1st April 2010.

Designation

2.  The bodies corporate of the institutions specified in the Schedule to this Order, being bodies corporate of the kinds specified in section 33A(2) of the Act, are designated as sixth form college corporations.

Continuity of the body corporate

3.  Designation as a sixth form college corporation under this Order does not affect the continuity of the body corporate, and its instrument and articles of government.

SCHEDULE

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates certain corporations within the further education sector as sixth form college corporations.

The Order provides for the continuity of the body corporate and its instrument and articles of government.
