10. Notwithstanding the provisions of section 4 of the Petroleum (Consolidation) Act 1928(1) or section 1(4) of the Petroleum (Transfer of Licences) Act 1936(2), the fee prescribed by these Regulations in respect of any application for a petroleum licence is payable for any licence first having effect or any transfer or renewal of a licence first taking effect on or after the coming into force of these Regulations irrespective of the date of the application for that licence, transfer or renewal.
