For the purposes of regulations 53, 54 and 55, “relevant licensing body” has the meaning given in this regulation.

In the case of a licence granted under regulation 53(1) for a purpose specified in any of sub-paragraphs (a) to (d) of paragraph (2) of that regulation, “relevant licensing body” means—

a

in relation to England—

i

so far as the licence relates to the restricted English inshore region, the Marine Management Organisation, and

ii

otherwise, Natural England; or

b

in relation to Wales, the Countryside Council for Wales.

In the case of a licence granted—

a

under regulation 53(1) for a purpose specified in any of sub-paragraphs (e) to (g) of paragraph (2) of that regulation,

b

under regulation 53(4), or

c

under regulation 54,

“relevant licensing body” means the appropriate authority.
