Coming into force in accordance with regulation 1(1)
The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 57A, 140(4) and 143(1) and (2) of the Local Government Finance Act 1988(1), makes the following Regulations, of which a draft was laid before and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament in accordance with section 143(4) of that Act:
1988 c. 41. Section 57A was inserted by section 65 of the Local Government Act 2003 (c.26) and section 143(4) was amended by paragraphs 9 and 24(1) and (3) of Schedule 7 to the same Act.
