Prescribed descriptions of persons under section 17A(1) of the 1989 Act – children’s services4
For the purposes of section 17A(1) of the 1989 Act a person is of a prescribed description if they are—
a
a person who appears to the responsible authority to be capable of managing a direct payment by themselves or with such assistance as may be available to them; and
b
not a person to whom Schedule 1 applies.
