8.  In section 22 of the Criminal Justice Act 1961 M1 (assisting escaped prisoners etc), the reference in subsection (2) to a person who has been sentenced as mentioned there includes—

(a) a person on whom an SDA custodial sentence has been passed (anywhere); and

(b) a person on whom a custodial sentence has been passed (anywhere) in respect of an SDA offence.
