In accordance with section 1 of the European Communities Act 19721 a draft of this Order was laid before, and approved by a resolution of, each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, Her Majesty, in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(3) of the European Communities Act 1972, is pleased, by and with the advice of Her Privy Council, to order as follows:
Citation and Commencement1

This Order may be cited as the European Communities (Definition of Treaties) (Agreement on Enlargement of the European Economic Area) Order 2008.

This Order shall come into force on the date on which the treaty specified in the Schedule enters into force for the United Kingdom. This date will be notified in the London, Edinburgh and Belfast Gazettes.
Specification as Community Treaty2
The Treaty specified in the Schedule is to be regarded as a Community Treaty as defined in section 1(2) of the European Communities Act 1972.
SCHEDULE
The Agreement on the Participation of the Republic of Bulgaria and Romania in the European Economic Area, signed in Brussels on 25th July 20072.
