The Lord Chancellor makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(8) of the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 19931:
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (Addition of Qualifying Judicial Offices) (No.2) Order 2008 and comes into force on 12th December 2008.
Amendment of Schedule 1 to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 19932
In Part 2 of Schedule 1 to the Judicial Pensions and Retirement Act 1993 (offices which may be qualifying judicial offices), at the end of the list under the heading “members of tribunals” insert—
President of the Valuation Tribunal for England appointed under paragraph A7(1) of Schedule 11 to the Local Government Finance Act 19882.
