The Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Revocation) Order 2008
A draft of this instrument has been approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament pursuant to section 9(9) of that Act.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State for Business, Enterprise and Regulatory Reform makes the following Order:—
Citation, commencement, extent and cessation of charges1.

This Order may be cited as the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Revocation) Order 2008, shall extend to England and Wales and Scotland, and shall come into force on the day after it is made.

This Order revokes the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) Order 1970, the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Amendment) Order 1971 and the Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) (Amendment) Order 1982 in relation to England and Wales and Scotland. These Orders imposed or modified levies to finance export promotion by the National Wool Textile Export Corporation in connection with the wool textile industry. The Wool Textile Industry (Export Promotion Levy) Order 1970, as amended, ceases to have effect as respects the imposition of the levy for any period after 30th September 2008.
