The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority(1) in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 43, 44, 46 of the Consumers, Estate Agents and Redress Act 2007(2),after considering the results of research to discover the views of a representative sample of persons likely to be affected and after consultation with persons and bodies appearing to be representative of persons likely to be affected by the Regulations in accordance with section 44(1) of that Act, and with the consent of the Secretary of State in accordance with section 43(4) of that Act, makes the following Regulations:
The Gas and Electricity Markets Authority was established by section 1(1) of the Utilities Act 2000 (c.27)
