Coming into force
The Secretary of State for Children, Schools and Families makes the following regulations in exercise of the power conferred by section 3(1) and (2) of the Education (Schools) Act 19971. In accordance with section 3(7) of that Act, the Secretary of State has consulted with such bodies as appear to him to be appropriate and representative of schools which provide assisted places under section 2(1) of that Act:

These Regulations may be cited as the Education (Assisted Places) (Amendment) (England) Regulations 2008 and come into force on 1st September 2008.

These Regulations apply in relation to a school year beginning on or after that date.

These Regulations apply only in relation to England.
Amendment of the Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 19972

The Education (Assisted Places) Regulations 19972 are amended as follows.

In regulation 10(4) and (6), for “£1,675” substitute “£1,745” in each place where it appears.

In paragraph 1 of Schedule 2, for “£12,864” substitute “£13,397”.

For the table following paragraph 2(1) of Schedule 2 substitute the following table—
(1) Part of relevant income to which specified percentage applies
