The Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (Commencement No.6) Order 2008

The Secretary of State, being the relevant national authority under section 66(3)(b) of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006(1), makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 66(2) of that Act.

Citation

1.  This Order may be cited as the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 (Commencement No. 6) Order 2008.

Commencement

2.  Part 1, Chapter 2 (Alcohol Disorder Zones) (sections 15 to 20) of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006 shall come into force on 5th June 2008.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order brings into force on 5th June 2008 Chapter 2 of Part 1 of the Violent Crime Reduction Act 2006. This chapter consists of sections 15 to 20 which provide for the designation of alcohol disorder zones by local authorities.
