The Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No.4 and Saving) Order 2008

The Secretary of State, in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 53(1), 59(7) and (9) of the Greater London Authority Act 20071, makes the following Order:

Citation1.

This Order may be cited as the Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No. 4 and Saving) Order 2008.

Provision coming into force on 27th June 20082.

Subject to article 3, section 30 of the Greater London Authority Act 2007 shall come into force on 27th June 2008.

Saving3.

Section 15 of the Planning and Compulsory Purchase Act 20042 shall continue to apply, in the form in which it was in force immediately before 27th June 2008, in relation to any local development scheme submitted to the Secretary of State before that date.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

Article 2 of this Order brings into force section 30 of the Greater London Authority Act 2007 (local development schemes), on 27th June 2008.

Article 3 of this Order makes a saving for the purposes of local development schemes submitted to the Secretary of State before 27th June 2008.

The Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No.1 and Appointed Day) Order 2007 (S.I. 2007/3107) also appointed 30th October 2007 for the purposes of section 59(6) of the Act (which provides that sections 12 to 14 have effect in relation to financial years beginning on or after an appointed day).
