Coming into force
This Order is made in exercise of the powers conferred by section 13(2)(c) of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 20051.
The Secretary of State has consulted the person appointed for the purposes of section 14(2) of that Act, the Intelligence Services Commissioner and the Director-General of the Security Service about the making of this Order.
In accordance with section 13(4) of that Act, a draft of this Order was laid before Parliament and approved by a resolution of each House of Parliament.
Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following Order.
Citation and commencement1
This Order may be cited as the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (Continuance in force of sections 1 to 9) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 11th March 2007.
Continuance in force of sections 1 to 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 20052
Sections 1 to 9 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 shall not expire in accordance with Article 2 of the Prevention of Terrorism Act 2005 (Continuance in force of sections 1 to 9) Order 20062 but shall continue in force for a period of one year beginning with 11th March 2007.
