Appearances at inquiry14

Every remaining objector and any other person who has sent an outline statement under rule 5 or a statement of case under rule 7 shall be entitled to appear at the inquiry.

In relation to a non-ministerial order, the acquiring authority shall also be entitled to appear at the inquiry.

The inspector may permit any other person to appear at the inquiry, and such permission shall not be unreasonably withheld.

Any person entitled or permitted to appear may do so on his own behalf or be represented by counsel, solicitor or any other person.

An inspector may allow one or more persons to appear on behalf of some or all of any persons having a similar interest in the matter under inquiry.
