The Secretary of State for Transport makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 34(1) and (4) of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link Act 19961:

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (Nomination) (Amendment) Order 2007 and shall come into force on 31st October 2007.

Amendment of the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (Nomination) Order 19992

The Channel Tunnel Rail Link (Nomination) Order 19992 is amended as follows.

In article 3(1)(b) and (c), for each reference to “section 14”, substitute “section 14(1)(b)”.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order amends the Channel Tunnel Rail Link (Nomination) Order 1999 (S.I. 1999/391) to provide that Union Railways (North) Limited is authorised as nominated undertaker to provide infrastructure services, and so operate the rail network, for the part of the rail link between Southfleet Junction and London St. Pancras.
