Coming into force

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred by sections 355(1) of, and paragraphs 2(c) and (d), 10(4) and 24(3) of Schedule 12 to, the Gambling Act 20051.

Citation and commencement1

These Regulations may be cited as the Gambling Act 2005 (Club Gaming and Club Machine Permits) (Amendment) Regulations 2007.

These Regulations shall come into force on 8th October 2007 and shall have effect in relation only to applications (within the meaning given in regulation 3(1) of the Gambling Act 2005 (Club Gaming and Club Machine Permits) Regulations 20072) made on or after that date.

Amendment of the existing Regulations2

For the form in Schedule 1 to the Gambling Act 2005 (Club Gaming and Club Machine Permits) Regulations 2007, substitute the form in the Schedule to these Regulations.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Regulations)

These Regulations amend Schedule 1 to the Gambling Act 2005 (Club Gaming and Club Machine Permits) Regulations 2007 (S.I. 2007/1834) to substitute a new form for applications for a club gaming or club machine permit (“a permit”). Changes are made to Section B of the form, which relates to applications made by clubs or miners’ welfare institutes which have been registered under Part 2 or Part 3 of the Gaming Act 1968.
