21.—(1) After regulation 50(1) insert—
“(1A) An administering authority cannot be satisfied as mentioned in paragraph (1) unless they have first obtained a certificate from a fully registered person within the meaning of the Medical Act 1983(1) to the effect that the member’s life expectancy is less than one year.”.
(2) In regulation 50(2), omit the words “(except the guaranteed minimum)”.
(3) Omit regulation 50(3).
