The Magistrates' Courts (Detention and Forfeiture of Cash) Rules 200235 are amended as follows.

In rules 6(3)(b) and 8(3)(b) the words from “(or in the” to “Squad)” are revoked.

After rules 6(3)(a) and 8(3)(a) insert—

the Director General of the Serious Organised Crime Agency if the cash which is the subject of the application was seized by a member of the staff of that Agency who is designated under section 43 of the Serious Organised Crime and Police Act 2005;
