The Bus Lane Contraventions (Penalty Charges, Adjudication and Enforcement) (England) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/2757), made under section 144 of the Transport Act 2000, provide for the enforcement of bus lane restrictions through the imposition, by approved local authorities, of penalty charges in respect of contraventions of such restrictions. This Order specifies Warrington Borough Council (“Warrington”) and Wolverhampton City Council (“Wolverhampton”) as approved local authorities for these purposes.
