The Secretary of State makes the following Order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 1(1) of the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975(1). In accordance with section 18(4) of that Act she has consulted with such persons as appear to her requisite.

Citation and commencement

1.  This Order may be cited as the Safety of Sports Grounds (Designation) (No. 4) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 20th December 2006.

Designation

2.  The sports ground specified in the Schedule (being a sports ground in England at which association football matches are played, which is occupied by a club which is a member of the Football League Limited or the Football Association Premier League Limited, and which in the opinion of the Secretary of State has accommodation for more than 5,000 spectators) is designated as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.

EXPLANATORY NOTE

(This note is not part of the Order)

This Order designates the Keepmoat Stadium in Doncaster, occupied by Doncaster Rovers Football Club, as a sports ground requiring a safety certificate under the Safety of Sports Grounds Act 1975.
