This Order is the tenth commencement order under the Health and Social Care (Community Health and Standards) Act 2003(1) (“the Act”).
Article 2(a) brings into force on 27th October 2006 section 185 of the Act (replacement of the Welfare Food Schemes: Great Britain) for the purposes of providing powers for the National Assembly for Wales to make regulations prescribing descriptions of food and giving directions under section 13(6) of the Social Security Act 1988(2). Article 2(b) brings into force on that day the repeal of section 2(1)(f) of the Health Service Commissioners Act 1993(3) (the bodies subject to investigation) relating to the Dental Practice Board.
