The Food (Emergency Control) (Revocation) (England) Regulations 2006

The Secretary of State makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on her by section 2(2) of the European Communities Act 19721.
The Secretary of State has been designated2 for the purposes of that section in relation to measures relating to food (including drink) including the primary production of food.
There has been open and transparent public consultation during the preparation of the Regulations as required by Article 9 of Regulation (EC) No. 178/2002 of the European Parliament and of the Council laying down the general principles and requirements of food law, establishing the European Food Safety Authority and laying down procedures in matters of food safety3.

Title, commencement and application1.

These Regulations—

(a)

may be cited as the Food (Emergency Control) (Revocation) (England) Regulations 2006;

(b)

shall come into force on 1 October 2006; and

(c)

shall apply in relation to England only.

Revocations2.

The instruments specified in column 1 of the Schedule are revoked.
