The Vaccine Damage Payments (Specified Disease) Order 2006

Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Work and Pensions makes the following Order in exercise of the power conferred by section 1(2)(i) of the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 19791.

Citation and commencement1

This Order may be cited as the Vaccine Damage Payments (Specified Disease) Order 2006 and shall come into force on 4th September 2006.

Addition to the diseases to which the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 applies2

Pneumococcal infection is specified as a disease to which the Vaccine Damage Payments Act 1979 applies.
