Coming into force

The Secretary of State for Health makes the following Regulations in exercise of the powers conferred on her by sections 79 and 126(4) of the National Health Service Act 19771.

Citation, commencement and application1

These Regulations may be cited as the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Amendment Regulations 2006 and shall come into force on 10th August 2006.

These Regulations apply in relation to England only2.

Amendment to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 20052

In Schedule 3 to the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 20053 (Band 3 Charges – Provision of Appliances) paragraph (i) shall be omitted.

These Regulations correct an error in the National Health Service (Dental Charges) Regulations 2005 (S.I. 2005/3477) (“the 2005 Regulations”).

Regulation 2 removes the reference to “Crowns in other materials” in the list of appliances for which a Band 3 charge may be made and recovered in Schedule 3 to the 2005 Regulations.
