Coming into force

By a resolution of 22nd February 2006 the Council of the Borough of Eastbourne1 have, under section 7(4)(a) of the Local Government Act 19722 (“the Act”), requested the Secretary of State to provide for a system of whole council elections.

Accordingly, the Secretary of State makes the following order in exercise of the powers conferred by section 7(6) of the Act and section 17(4) of the Local Government Act 19923—
