Section 35(1) is cited because of the meaning there given to the words “prescribed” and “regulations”.</p></authorialNote>.</p><formula name="enactingText"><p>The Social Security Advisory Committee has agreed that the proposals in respect of these Regulations should not be referred to it<authorialNote class="footnote" eId="f00003" marker="3"><p><i>See</i> sections 170, 172(1) and 173(1)(b) of the Social Security Administration Act <ref eId="c00015" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/ukpga/1992/5">1992 (c. 5)</ref>. They also amend the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996 (<abbr class="acronym" title="Statutory Instrument">S.I.</abbr> <ref eId="c00004" href="http://www.legislation.gov.uk/id/uksi/1996/207">1996/207</ref>).</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulations 2 to 4 amend the Principal Regulations to allow Pension Protection Fund (“<abbr title="Pension Protection Fund">PPF</abbr>”) periodic payments to be included in the calculation of entitlement to benefit in the same way as pension payments are included.</p></blockContainer><blockContainer ukl:Name="P"><p>Regulation 5 amends the Jobseeker’s Allowance Regulations 1996 to allow <abbr title="Pension Protection Fund">PPF</abbr> payments or Financial Assistance Scheme (“<abbr title="Financial Assistance Scheme">FAS</abbr>”) payments to be included in the calculation of entitlement to contribution-based jobseeker’s allowance in the same way as pension payments are included.
